[Opinions] Tyler
For some reason, and I'm really not sure why, Tyler has been on my mind recently. I've always felt rather indifferent to it, but I'm curious to know what your thoughts are. I don't have any strong opinions towards it, but I know I'll almost always go for other names besides it if there are options, such as Taylor for instance, which I find softer and overall more pleasant sounding.

I really like it :) I know it was popular in the 90s but I haven't heard it recently. Hoping it stays off the radar for a while :)

I'm sure it will. 😊 It's been trending downwards for a number of years now, at least here in the U.S. I don't see it exploding in massive popularity anytime soon.

I love it.

This is my brother’s name. It’s a total ‘90’s name.

It certainly. 90's-early 2000's era name.

I'm of the Tyler generation. In my kindergarten class, I think we had 3, maybe even 4, boys named Tyler.I think it was a flash in the pan that has overstayed its welcome and will likely read as very dated in the next decade or two.I've also known people of multiple genders with the name - Tyler is exceptionally not pretty as a girl's name, to my mind. In an interesting coincidence, I actually knew a girl named Tyler who dated a guy named Tyler for a long time. Akin to a Taylor + Taylor relationship.

It seems more of a flash in the pan to me but idk. No strong feelings.

I'm neutral on it.

Just another lnfn. Tedious and trendy.

I don't like it

It feels late 1980s trendy in my area and weak. I don’t like it. I went on a blind date with one who ended me being a total incel…so no.

It’s a forgettable name, not bad but nothing special about it. The nickname ‘Ty’ is much more interesting to me, but still dated.
