[Opinions] Laurie
I seem to be meeting several girls at the moment called Laurie or Lauri and quite like it as a nickname for Lauren, Loreen, Lorena, Lorraine and Lorelai wondered what others thought of Laurie and Lauri as a full name and nickname for a girl?

I've only ever met male Laurie people, which is fine and certainly better than Larry, so it would seem odd as a f name. I don't think names like Lorraine, Lauren etc particularly need nns and I don't remember encountering any. I'd love to use Laura, and I wouldn't use a nn at all.

Even though they're pronounced about the same, I never liked Laurie much, it always felt older and frumpier to me. I like Lori, as a full name mainly. The spelling makes it feel much more youthful even though it really hit its peak before I was born.
My mother's name is Lorraine and she is often called Lori by her friends.

Its my cousin's name. I prefer Laura.

I love it on a boy as a nickname for Laurence. It’s too dated on a girl for my liking.

It's ok as a nn, don't like it as a full name, good for a nn for Laurence
