[Opinions] Leonidas
Surprised to find this name rising on the England and Wales data. Didn't exist in 2006 then boom, shot to 431 even though its a pretty unusual name in my opinion, and not at all meeting the modern Trendy qualifications.Similar on the US data. Its risen to 422, though we can at least see on the US data that it had some use in the late 1800s.Opinions?---"one particular boogie will move mirror massaging with stirring crepe mixture, positioning loaves while in the furnace then toting items in containers" ~ best Russian daing sites (guest, 198.144.149.xxx) (2020)Formally PrincessZ and Princess Magpie

Yeah, it shows up in my extended family tree in the late 1800s.I think it fits ok stylewise with Leo, Leon, Elias, Silas, Titus, Lucas, Atlas, Nicholas, Matias, Leonardo, Orion, Julius, Luciano, Theodore, Thaddeus most of which are in the US top 200 and some on the UK list as well.I think it appeals to people who'd like Linus, Lionel, Lenny, Leopold, if those seemed less nerdy/dated/uptight (and to people who like Leon, Theodore, Lucas, but feel those are too average/popular + if they like obvious antique looking names like Phineas or more romantic looking names like Orlando). Leonidas sounds like a rich old dude but also has some swagger. I appreciate that it can seem dignified and has flair and yet sounds a bit novel.I don't personally like it that much, although I'm not sure why. It comes across as vaguely snide to me, but it's not because of the sound or style. It reminds me of Midas also (so maybe it sounds grasping?), but I actually like Midas. Maybe it's just that I've not met one plus associate Linus and Lenny and Titus - I don't like those.
