Its ok, prefer Sunny.

I’ve liked Sonny for years, but I do like a lot of “hippy” names and I feel Sonny falls into that category. I also love Sunny, but for a girl.

I’m sorry, but I don’t care for it; maybe Sunny would be a better choice.

It's not a name. It's a placeholder, like Young Man or Miss.

Frankly, awful. Used to be a nn for a random boy, as in 'Leave the dog alone, Sonny', but not I think likely any more.

It's okay but sounds similar to "Sunny" or reminds me of the words like "son" and "sunny" in my opinion.
