What do you think of King for a baby boy? Hmm. Your ideas are intriguing to me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Big-headed.

I don’t like it for a boys name. It’s okay for a dog.

I used to go to school with a SirrKing, it's pretty fun and plenty of people use Prince and names that mean king so why not? I honestly hate Rex even more than King, it suits a dog I guess? But only a dog.

A rather exclusive title, a dog, or an awkward and misappropriate use as a personal name of towering pretention.

I don't like it for boy that sounds ridiculous in my opinion. How about Rex (that means "king").

My first thought was Ryan, but Rex is good too. It would certainly be an improvement over King, even though it does does make me think of dogs and dinos, lol!! 🐕🐕‍🦺🦖

Ryan as a substitute for King is hilarious. It's like "I know you were thinking about Bear, but how about Arthur?!" as if those are the same style.I think Rex can be endearing, but for the most part, it's ugly in English...like car wrecks. Plus there's Oedipus as the most famous one.

I am amused by people who suggest entirely different names when this is just a fun hypothetical.

I like it sometimes, although it can depend on the combo. King Major Reign would just be hokey...King Oleander and King Antoine are better. I like that it reminds me of MLK Jr and that sometimes it seems fun/whimsical/egalitarian, and I like the sound itself. It's a really old name - I'm sure because it's a surname, but then Prince, Princess, Queen are similarly old. I like King and Queen more than Prince and Princess, although I've liked those as middle names before (ex. Ruby Princess).

Incredibly ridiculous. It's just as bad as Queen, Prince, Princess and all those other monarch/title related names. I don't see them as a name at all, but rather title. There are a few exceptions of course, but for the majority of them, they're just downright silly and pretentious.
