[Opinions] Brogan

I have heard it used on a child before. I think I only kind of like it because it is very similar to my mom’s maiden name and would be great at honoring my family, but something just isn’t letting me fully love it and I don’t know what it is.
It makes me think of bogan and I'm not even Australian.
It's one of the ugliest names imaginable.
Makes me think of “bogan” too.
It's a strong dislike from me, too. At my previous work, I met both men and women with this name. I don't like the sound, don't like the nicknames "Bro", "Brog" and don't like how close it is to the word "bogan" (Aussies will understand). If you Google bogan, you'll understand too!
I googleded bogan, I agree and thats such a mean thing to say.
Hmm, it’s a bit uncommon, which isn’t bad at all, but it sounds a bit too much like Logan or Rogan for my taste—if someone really liked it or I met someone with the name, I’d hardly be bothered, but I don’t think I’d recommend it 🤔
Ha. Initially it screamed "BRO!" which was a hard pass.
But upon second sight, it pings a certain feeling: nostalgic Arthurian woodland fantasy... Suddenly, it's beautiful.

My Gran used to tell us to tie our brogans, so not predisposed to think of it as a personal name any more than 'shoe' - and about as attractive.
I think it's uncommonly ugly. Like broken, or a big heavy shoe.
I actually know a woman named Brogan. She's probably thirty now.

Don't like it at all
