[Opinions] Re: Gordon
My condolences! I like the name Gordon in the same way I like most names that have strong "Grandpa" energy, like Clifford, Walter, Roger, etc. It's got a satisfying warmth and gravitas. I hadn't really thought about it before, but Rox's comment about the Canadian-ness of Gordon has me realizing it IS kind of a familiar staple name here, with an attached feeling of Golden Age nostalgia. There's Gordon Lightfoot, Gordie Howe, Gord Downie, Gordon Sinclair ... I guess that's why.Gordon is sweet in a gruff teddy bear kind of way. Gordie is ok but it seems less friendly than Gord, somehow.
