Like Rox said, this name is irrevocably tied to the Salvation Army for me, we call it "Sally Ann" as well (Canadian prairies region).
I do like Sally but I'd have to pair it with something else. Even then I wonder if a Sally in my area would still get "Sally Ann" comments.
