[Opinions] Re: Birth announcement
Phonetically for me it'd be ay-lah / eh-lah (or between those?).But I do recognize Ay as a Turkish name element I'd pronounce like "ie" and know that Isla is mega popular in the UK (which I associate vaguely since all the South Africans I've met personally lived in the UK and had English accents), so I'd be uncertain.I associate Aayla (a minor Star Wars character name) a little bit.The name itself is pretty. It's not unique seeming because it blends with other vowel-heavy short popular names (short names containing L also seem popular), but that's fine...I wouldn't say it's flimsy, more just kind of fluid seeming.
