[Opinions] Yvonna
I struggle with finding enjoyable names beginning with “y;” I recently discovered the name Yvonna. Personally, I feel that it’s such a wonderful and unique girl’s name. I pronounce it as “Yuh-Vohn-uh” and prefer it to other “y” names. Though, I do think that Yolanda “Yoh-lann-duh” is a gorgeous name with a “Y”. How do you all feel about the name Yvonna? Also, is Yolanda nicer or not?

Yvonna sounds nicer and younger than Yolanda. You’d have to correct some people on pronunciation though.

It looks exactly like Yvonne, but with an -a instead of an -e. So I don't think your chosen pronunciation is very convincing or likely to work.I prefer Yvette to Yvonne, and Yolande (silent e, since it's French) to Yolanda.

I think I like the spelling Yvona better? Hmm, maybe, maybe not. I've never thought about Yvonna before - only Yvonne (which I do like). There's something fantastical about Yvonna. Like it belongs in a novel about an elvish uprising or something. I like it!

Yvonna is pretty and I prefer it to Yolanda, but I think most people would pronounce this name like "ee-vohn-uh" rather than "yuh-vohn-uh" when first seeing it.
