I think Calista is a beautiful name, though I prefer the double-L spelling (Callista) as it looks more complete to me. The only famous bearer I can think of is Calista Flockhart, whose name I've always thought was gorgeous.

I've been crushing on Calista for a while. I used to be a bit unsure about the -lista ending, but it has a strong, ancient vibe that's very up my street. Plus I love the meaning.

I like it and the nickname Cali, not enough to use on a child, but maybe for a character.
