[Opinions] Simona
I've never really cared for Simone, though I find Simona endlessly charming. It's silvery and silken but a bit plaintive (perhaps because of the "moan"). What do you think? Some combos:Simona Irene
Simona Judith
Simona Helen
Simona Juliet
Simona Alice
Simona Agnes
Simona Amy (honoring)
Simona Clare
Simona Beatrice / Beatrix
Simona Ruth
Simona Hesper
Simona Iris (quickly becoming a go-to middle name for me...)
Simona Phryne
Simona Constance
Simona Eve
Simona Rachel
Simona Hester
Simona Sappho
Simona Verity

I like Simone better, Simona just doesn't sound quite right to my ear.

I have always liked the Simon- names, because they are so rare where I'm from. I've never met anyone with a Simon-related name! I remember first falling in love with Simone when I saw it in a soap opera in the 90s. I thought it was so stylish and sleek. Then I came across Simona when I spotted it on a Romanian gymnast during the summer olympics in 2000. At first I wasn't sure I liked it, because I was in a French phase, but Simona continued to haunt me. It is rather haunting and plaintive, in a great way. I like Mona too, so Simon + Mona = Great. Simona Iris is really beautiful. Iris has a bit of dark sharpness to it, it's a very shiny deep purple, and it works well with Simona's smooth golden honey tones. Simona Juliet has a similar honey-and-purple thing happening but Juliet is more shining and silvery and cool-lavender. I find that one really alluring. Amy Simona would flow better, but a Simona Amy would be so fun to come across. You know how I love those unassuming dated names in the middle!

Gosh. I've never really enjoyed Simon because it starts with a sigh; and now the female equivalent has become a Moaner!
