Ovheard Quill, the other day. What do you think of Quill as a name? Hmm. Your ideas are intriguing to me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Wow, it's a GP of mine, my favourite Q name. Too wordy and too quirky, but, for some reason, it never fails to amuse me.
I think, though, that I'd be more comfortable with Quill as a middle name.

Lockwood & CoBooks first, then a TV series: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockwood_%26_Co._(TV_series)One of the characters was Quill Kipps. I like the name, but would use it for a pet. I suspect that it might start gaining some popularity.

Not a big fan of it either.

Ouch. Like a porcupine.
It also reminds of the Lilian Jackson Braun series of mysteries featuring the two Siamese cats of a guy named Jim Qwilleran. He was always called Qwill by his friends. he was a writer, so I guess he, or Lilian, thought the pun was cute.
It isn't.

When I was a teenager I "invented" the name Quilla. I thought it was so nifty and beautiful, and a sneaky way to "honour" my author dreams. Now I think it's a little much, a little too purple and magical. Maybe good for a character though.Quil is from Twilight, right? Or am I imagining things. I think I prefer Quill with the two Ls more, even though it's more wordy. Heck, I kinda like Quill. The Q is fun, and the similarity to Will gives it some familiarity.

I don't think it's good as a name, I can only think of the writing tool. I much prefer Quinn.
