Message: "Cathal and Cadfael"

I have an issue with these names, Cathal and Cadfael, for an idea I've had for a while to write a fantasy novel. They are even in a similar situation and on the same side, although they are rarely in the same scene until the end. Do you think they are too similar for side-by-side protagonists? I do want to know before I actually try to write any of the novel.

I don't think you should worry about it until you write more. Things may become clearer to you as you make progress. Use them as placeholder names, they are fine.
