I have great difficulty liking four-syllable names with the emphasis on the first and third syllables. I find them very heavy and clunky. Mythologically, Galatea is fine, but it is unfamiliar and therefore, probably, prone to becoming 'Gala Tea' - a posh mid-afternoon celebration.
