Same. I REALLY don't care about the popularity. A lot of people say, "Oh, Isabella's an AWFUL name because of how POPULAR it is." I mean, I can understand that, but my personal opinion is that since (I literally saw this on a NAME BOOK) "popular" means "well-liked" or "well-loved", popularity doesn't matter.

Isabella is WAY better. What about Ninabella? Nina is my name, and I HATE it, but only on myself. I like it for other people, though. When I was 9 I started REALLY liking Isabella, so I was like, "why not Ninabella?" I'm 12 and still call myself Ninabella today.

Isabella. Isabella could be anyone and do anything as I’ve met quite a few over the years (Brownie guider 23 years). Nina on the other hand I’ve only ever met a couple so I see someone with dark hair and dark eyes.

Isabella always seemed like a very "fair" name to me, I guess because the first place I really saw it was in reference to a medieval princess - you know, the sort that don't have any eyebrows and shave their foreheads and all that. Isabella is white and shiny, like a wet boiled egg.

Nina is darker. I had a brilliant friend called Nina growing up and she had black hair and beautiful almond shaped eyes. Then there was the character of Nina from Black Swan that so perfectly captured the elegantly nondescript brunette beauty of a ballerina.

I like Nina more. It's fresh, sharp, and compact. Isabella is beautiful but it's a bit much.

Isabella. It seems "fuller". I still like Nina though.

I think that the name Isabella fits a girl with strawberry blonde or red hair, her body covered in freckles. She's a very caring girl, who loves everything animals and outdoors; though, her favorite pastime is cooking. Nina is a girl with shoulder-length, dark brown, wavy hair; she has blue eyes, and is shorter in height. Nina is a very smart, bookish girl, who spends her days reading and writing books. Of course, a name doesn't define a person's physical appearance or personality...and I can actually picture girls with any features called Isabella or Nina. Out of both names, I definitely prefer Isabella; it's so much prettier to me than Nina is.

Isabella: Medium length brown hair, about 5'4, pretty brown eyes, thin, loves to dance, does theater, introverted
Nina: Very tall, long brown hair, German, loves swimming and horse back riding, plays the piccolo, extroverted

I think I like the name Isabella slightly more, only because I can shorten it to Isa. I think of Nina as a nickname and not as a name by itself.

Nina, I guess. Both are pretty boring to me.

Isabella, IRL, would shorten to something - Belle, Bella, Isa - so you need to factor that it. Nina just says Simone to me: dark lady, good features, wonderful voice.
