[Opinions] Laila
So during work today I think I said this name in my head 500 times, it won't leave! I've been saying it lah-EE-lah, this is the only pronounciation I would ever use. What do you think of the name? And which do you think is better, Laila or Leah.Proud Auntie to Robbie, Brady, Juliana, Sophie, Graham, Teresa, and one more on the way.

I say LIE-lah, and adore it. I also adore Leila (LAY-lah) and Lila (LIE-lah as well). lah-EE-lah is also very pretty.Said lah-EE-lah, I prefer Leah. Said LIE-lah...I don't know. I love both!

Well, it's alright, but I'd never use it. I like lah-EE-lah better thatn LAY-lah which is the way I usually hear it said. And, I prefer Leah.
I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

Oh no...they don't pronouce it as Leah it's just that Leah has been a favorite of mine and i'm trying to decide if I want to replace Leah with LailaProud Auntie to Robbie, Brady, Juliana, Sophie, Graham, Teresa, and one more on the way.

It's a pretty name, although I think I prefer Leila, and overall, I prefer the name Lylia. If I had to choose between Laila and Leah, both of which are nice names, I'd probably be inclined to go with Leah.

THANK YOU.I can't think of anyone else who pronunces Laila as lah-EE-lah, and it's irritating being the only one! :D I absolutely adore it, though I don't think I'd ever use it. And I only like it with that pronunciation--though I have to admit that I tend to put a dipthong into it (I'm Midwestern, sue me ;), so that it sounds more like lye-EE-lah.I far prefer Laila to Leah.Array
