I know someone called Jane who was born in Mauritius to a British military family. Her mum subsequently admitted that she regretted the name as she only discovered how popular it was for her daughters generation when they moved back to Britain.
I like the spelling Jane a lot better than Jayne or Jain and would love to meet a little Jane but given when the name was popular I think it could be another 20 years before we see it being revived.
