Mostly makes me think of atrocities in the Belgian Congo. I much prefer other Leo- names, like Leonidas.

I actually really like it! Which is funny because while I'm generally not a big fan of vintage names, this one is an exception and my favorite of the 'Leo' names :)also going to rate your list now!

Don't really like it

So handsome! Wouldn’t you just love to meet little brothers named Leopold, Edwin and Rupert or something?! I know I would! Of course they’d have a sister named Nellie, or Daisy or Pearl, which would make the set even sweeter.

I love it. It's so booming and baroque. Probably my favourite form of Leo- names.

I like it, it's very dramatic. It lends itself to the nickname Leo more naturally than Leo. And it's very different.
Is it useable in real life? I dunno. Maybe as a middle name.

I love it! It's grand and a little dorky. I adore Leopoldine and Leopoldina, too.

Too foreign. If I wanted a Leo son, I'd use Leo or perhaps Leonard, but not Leopold.

I like but don’t love it. I did suggest that my brother and his wife called their female rescue cat Leo Leopoldine.

I love it, it’s one of my favorite boy names! Occasionally I overthink it and it starts sounding too clunky and maybe pompous but most days I think it’s strong and noble and a little nerdy. Leo and Poldi are cute nicknames.
I first liked it after watching the Cary Grant movie The Talk of the Town…funny how all it takes is Cary Grant to sell me on a name xD

I mess with it. King Leopold of Belgium is a bad namesake, but it doesn't seem to bother plenty of Europeans using it. & the son can always go by Leo
