No, it probably wouldn't get confused with Brett all that often. But he'd hear about "Gone With The Wind" almost every day, I'm sure. ('Where's Scarlett?' etc.)

Rhett is a very handsome name. I don't think a Rhett would have much trouble with being called Brett because of Rhett Butler.

I don't think anyone would hear him wrong. Rhett Butler is unescapable though.

I like it. Hopefully, he wouldn't have to correct people very often. You could name him Everett and use Rett as a nickname, but I think that just Rhett would be fine since a lot of people are probably familiar with the name given the popularity of Gone With the Wind.

I like it. I think enough people know about Gone With the Wind that they wouldn't have a problem with mistaking it as Brett.
