Ila is supposed to be a phonetic variation of Isla, but it just looks wrong. Iyla is better.

Ila is a Sanskrit name that charted in the 200s in the 1920s.
I'm pretty sure its modern use is a variant of Isla.
Oh, I was thinking ee-la. It looks like a nickname to me.

I think I'd prefer that pronunciation, but I don't love it either way.
