Don't care for it on a boy, even worse for girls.

I don’t like it for a boy and it’s even worse for a girl.

It’s bad enough on a boy.

Pretty dim for either; well worth avoiding.

I really must learn to put visceral reactions like "barf" into more diplomatic terms.

Nah. I wouldn't be surprised to see something like Kodie on a girl, but even that looks more like the name of a male dog than a 'girly' version of Cody. Cody isn't my style but it's okay on a boy.

Cody is one of those names that make me cringe. I dislike it for any child regardless of gender. For me, calling someone Cody is tantamount to calling them Cowboy. Country & Western names are one of my least favourite styles. Names like Cody, Brody, Cassidy, Maverick, Oakley, Ryder, Gunner, Colton, Branson, Dakota, Gage, Bronco, Briggs, Woody, Holt, Gentry, Dixon, Buck, Tex, Judd, Braxton, Billy Bob, Rowdy, Dallas, Clay, Huck, Cash, Tucker, Denver, Hank, Colt, Stetson etc...don't appeal to me at all.

I've met two. One full name Cody and the other went by Kodi, short for Dakota They are definitely influencing my opinion on thinking it's cute :)

Hi!Cody is originally a surname so it's unisex for sure. Then phonetically what's the difference between Cody and ... Connie? Corey? Courtney? Cindy?Cody is ok for a girl imo.

It's alright if it's a nickname for something. I wouldn't like it as a given name.
