[Opinions] Re: Naming my daughter - Lydia?
in reply to a message by pomelo23
I love Lydia! It's my number one favorite name and I hope to use it for a daughter, too, someday. It's so lyrical, ancient but timeless, familiar but not overused. Plus Lydia was an ancient kingdom, which fascinates me.
Lydia Jade and Lydia Margaret are both marvelous. Lydia Jade modernizes the name somewhat and makes it sparkle. I love the initials LJ. Lydia Margaret is a gorgeous regal classic, and the fact that it's your middle name is a lovely connection between mother and daughter.
So... I love it!
LISTEN TO THE MUSTN'TS
- Shel Silverstein
Listen to the MUSTN'TS, child,
Listen to the DON'TS
Listen to the SHOULDN'TS
The IMPOSSIBLES, the WON'TS
Listen to the NEVER HAVES
Then listen close to me—
Anything can happen, child,
ANYTHING can be.
