[Opinions] Name list I’d give my son
Anthony, I don’t know why, but I love this name.
AJ (Asher-Jeremy) after both my father (Jeremy) and I (Asher).
Theodore, (Teddy) I think I like this name because of big Nate.
Henry/Harry. I like Henry and Harry. Don’t know why, but I do.
Michael/Mike. I love the name Michael, likely because I like biblical names, and I like the popularity.
Jonathan/Jonty. I’m not British, but I like Jonty as a short form of Jonathan.
What do you guys think of the names I’d give my son?

Anthony: I like it, but I wouldn't want to risk ending up with a kid called Tony.
AJ / Asher-Jeremy: AJ is fine, it's a common initial-name. Asher-Jeremy is unexpected as a name but makes sense. I'm not sure how I'd feel about being named after a parent and a grandparent but if that's what you want to do then this is fine. Since it's hyphenated does that mean it would be Asher-Jeremy Middlename Lastname?
(edit: Asher Jeremy Lastname would be more manageable, but Asher-Jeremy Middlename Lastname might be a better option for this because then the kid will have a name that's only his, if he wants a name to go by that isn't just initials and also isn't just the name of a relative.)
Theodore / Teddy: I like Theodore. I would want Theo, but Teddy is cute and vintage. I assume most Teddy kids would age up into Ted.
Henry / Harry: I like Harry but not Henry.
Michael / Mike: I like Michael, but not really Mike. Mike is just "some guy". Michael has a soft, pretty feel that just doesn't carry over into Mike at all.
Jonathan / Jonty: I like Jonathan. Jonty is interesting to me but it would feel very contrived on a real person. If the kid likes Jonty then go for it, but be prepared for Jon / Jonny because most Jonathans aren't going to go by Jonty.

I far prefer Antony to Anthony.
AJ sounds silly and I dislike both names.
Theodore is OK, just; I prefer either Theo or, better, Ted as nns.
I dislike Henry and don't mind Harry much, but I'd never use it as a full name.
I enjoy Michael, and much prefer Mike to Mick or Micky.
Jonathan seems limp-wristed to me, and Jonty is infantile.

I like Anthony. Especially the nn Tony.
AJ is okay but initial-names feel a bit dated to me; I grew up with lots of boys and a couple girls who went by initials but I don't think I know anyone much younger than myself who does except one, and he's almost grown. Not a big fan of naming after the father or mother either, I'd prefer a totally new name for the first name and the father's/mother's name as the middle.
Theodore is okay, but it feels so stiff and formal. Teddy is babyish and does not age well, but Ted is such a nice, friendly nn. If I wanted to call him Ted I'd probably name him Edward, which would also give the Eddie option, which I like too.
Michael/Mike. Can't go wrong with it as long as the extreme popularity doesn't bother you.
Jonathan I like too, but Jonty feels pretentious and posh, like Topher for Christopher. Just too contrived and pwecious.
Forgot to add: I don't especially care for Henry, but Harry is cute.

I love Anthony too!
Asher Jeremy is actually a good set. I like Asher a lot, but do not like Jeremy. I love Jeremiah though. It sounds good with Asher and many other names.
I like Theodore, but not Teddy. Its admittedly cute, but too much so. I prefer Theo. It's still cute, but not so much so. Teddy does have more personality than Ted.
Henry is a really good name. I have never been a fan of Harry. It might be because of "hairy".
Michael is a good name but I always spell it as Micheal by accident. I am bored of Mike. Mikey is cuter.
I love Johnathan and appreciate the nickname Jonty. It is a mostly British name, so I have never met one before. They are always Johns or Johnnies.
I think I would like your taste in names, based on this list. Theodore Michael, Theodore Henry, Johnathan Henry, Michael Jeremy, Johnathan Michael, etc. are good combos, too!
