[Opinions] Re: A short list that is a bit all over the place :)
Ellery - as in Ellery Queen; I love vintage detective fiction, and haven't read any of theirs (two friends writing together) for ages. But I shall!
As a name, however, I'm not a fan.
Niamh (neev) - very pretty; one of the more accessible Irish names
Elsie - lovely nickname; not good enough to stand alone
Sadie - the cleaning lady! Vintage song this time. Not suitable; far prefer Sally.
Mathilde - pronunciation issues; prefer Matilda
Rosée - looks awful; more like rosé wine than French dew. ETA, anyone wanting a dewy daughter could consider Rosemary
Sumi - probably fine in its own environment, but pointless elsewhere
Emery - like the nail-filing Board? What nonsense!Henry - drab classic; prefer Harry
Sam (does it need Samuel as a full name or does it work by itself?) - I really dislike Sam, Samuel, Samson and all their works.
Cameron "Cam" - pleasantly Scottish; good for a boy
Greyson - grey son? Who would want one? Perhaps it could work as a masculinisation of Grace, but not for me.
Tristan - becoming ordinary, which is good. Nice name, feeble romantic hero.
