[Surname] Re: Katznelson

It appears that your question is misunderstood. You were not asking if the name Katznelson originated from the other two separate names, Katz & Nelson. But rather did or could someone of names Katz or Nelson be of the Jewish bloodline Katzenelnbogen.
This is my opinion about it. All those persecuted because of ethnicity & Faith/religion (Both for Jews) had to flee to other countries and assimilated into the cultures as much as possible without sacrificing their identity as who they were as people of Faith or ethnic/culture identity (Both for Jews). Huguenots with the name Rossellini had to flee their home of France in 1685 after Louis XIV signed the Edict of Fontainebleau making their Religion illegal. It was convert from Protestant Calvinism to Catholicism or die. They fled or hid. The ones that fled to Britain with the name Rossellini assimilated into Scottish society and went by the name Scottish name Ross. What I believe he is asking if any diaspora Jews of Katzenellenbogen ancestry with the Katznelson name may have changed their last name to Katz or more likely the British name Nelson to assimilate into the British or even U.S. society after fleeing one of the many persecutions throughout history that the Jewish people have suffered. It seems like clockwork almost that evil pursues the Chosen of the Almighty. You could probably go all the way back to the Philistines attacking the Hebrews on a regular basis and figure out the pattern they went by based on their demonic sacrifices and idol worship of false gods. The Fallen still move evil men against God’s people. May the Lord Almighty continue to Bless and protect Israel with His Mighty Out Stretch Arm as Israel’s enemies plot evil against it and all that love The LORD GOD
