Interesting, isn't it? That single syllable is so dominant! Anne Louise is beautiful; Anne Eloise, not so much. An unstressed first syllable seems to be the way to go:

A relative, a century ago, was named Anne Florence after her grandmother and aunt. Perhaps it's because I'm used to it, but that seems to work OK.
