[Opinions] Re: Cameron, Tyler, Trent

I have never considered Tyler gender neutral, that's interesting. I guess it could be, but I never saw it that way, it just screams "obnoxious nine year old boy" to me. I hate it.
Trent is cute because it's like a kid wearing a suit that is too big. It's very Serious Adult name, and the idea of a toddler named Trent really appeals to me. I went to school with a Trent and he was a super tall, awkward teenager. Nice guy, very quiet. Trent seems like a nice, quiet, awkward name. So of the three, Trent is my favourite.
Cameron is a name I'm ok with, but only in the sense that there's nothing technically wrong with it. It's very suburban beige, designed to be unexciting. Cam is a nice nickname. Cammie or Cami or whatever works for a girl. But it's just kind of inherently disappointing. I remember when an acquaintance who was a REALLY neat and quirky person with a fascinating life had a baby, and I was SO excited to hear what she'd pick as a name for her daughter.... and it was Cameron. And I was just like "Oh. Ok." And without fail that is my basic Cameron feeling. Oh, ok. I WANT to like it, because it's an anagram of romance, and that's cute. But it's so boring.
So, Trent, Cameron, and then wayyyyy in the back, Tyler. That's my ranking.
