I am rereading what you wrote and I don't understand if you mean that a name isn't in the database yet when you try to submit it? If thats what you mean, there are millions of names and not every name is in the main database yet. Its run by one man with a handful of editors and everyone wants to be sure about the background before submitting it as a legitimate names. There are some names with a boatload of evidence that have taken YEARS to be added to the main database.

Yes, I understand that it takes a long time for a user-submitted name to get added to the main-database, but I am taking about the user-submitted base, run by editors.
Unfortunately, unless you are an editor you cannot see the breadth of the user-submitted database. Its likely there, you just can't see it.
