Not a fan, it’s too frilly. I like Evangeline better. Evie , Angie, Ellie would work ad nicknames.

I like it a lot, it's enchanting and has a beautiful meaning. I also like Evangeline, Evangelista, Évangélie and Évangélique. I'd use Eva, Vangie and Lili as nicknames.

Not for me. The only thing I can think of when looking at it or similar names are religion classes at school or being in church and listening to preachings.

My mother had a school friend named Evangeline who, she said, was always called Vangie (VANjee). Not good at all.
