[Opinions] Re: What name that has a good meaning has been ruined for you?

I love the name Ginger, but one of my dad's friends when I was growing up was (is) named Ginger.
I feel like it would seem that I'm naming the child after her or in her honor. And honestly, I just don't want to do that. We're not close, she has a lot of habits/traits I wouldn't want associated with my child, and I think for a long time people in my life absolutely would think of her first rather than the new "Ginger." And while I wouldn't blane them at all for that, I'd still be frustrated about it.
