[Opinions] Adolfa
Met a little girl named Adolfa yesterday, who was probably around 5. And yes it was spelled like that.
WDYT?

I'm very, very sorry for saying this but that's an awful name to give a child.
Ew. It's Adolf. With an A on the end. That doesn't bloody well make it ok. I'd avoid her parents like the plague, and hope my assumptions are wrong.
Not a fan but at least there's an A on the end is all I can say.
I actually like it. It's obsolete but I see its appeal. Unfortunately, people won't use it in a long time because of the obvious association. There's also a clunkier feminine form of this name used in my country: Adolfina, which I like better and has more nickname potential (Allie, Alina, Fina...). Of course, this one doesn't escape the association either.
It’s too close to Adolf. I just hope she’s from a culture where the implications aren’t as obvious otherwise I’d assume her family is Neo-Nazis.
I think it sounds unpleasant and clunky, even without the Hitler association.
Not a fan
...I think it is cute (I'm also fond of Adolphus), sort of the way Cornelia and Zelda can be cute...and I wouldn't guess she was named after Hitler the way I might if I saw Adolf...But I doubt I'd want it as my name and wouldn't use it.

Definitely not, for most obvious reasons. even without the strong male counterpart association, I think it sounds bad.

Out of the question, indeed.
It's unattractive in various ways.
I don't like that 'dol' sound. Adelfa would've been nicer.
Adolfa, without any associations, might have been cute, but Adolf and its name family should be completely off the table.
Adolf is still impossible for a boy, and if it happens to be a family name, then using a fem version is a good way around the problem. And it can so easily shorten to Dolly, which is quite acceptable too. Not a choice I'd make, but it isn't a family name, so ...
It's actually kinda cute! Dolfa sounds very gnomish. But yikes. Lots of baggage there. Maybe she'll go by Dolly?
Too soon... it needs a couple of centuries to work.
Austrian painter association :|But if it is pronounced as ah-dol-fah than it sound nice at least?
