I think the "wrongness" of the Oak combos is just a personal thing; because the names are so unlike my usual style, I'm not skilled at working with them. It's just not my first instinct to choose from a pool of more modern names, so I keep trying to jam Oakley into a Victorian dress like I always do, and of COURSE it looks wrong.

I like Oaklynn Junia a bit - I think I might prefer Oaklynn June more though. Oaklynn Talia, Oaklynn Aziza, and Oaklynn Miracle do have that "wrong" vibe to me.

I like Oakley Mavis, Oakley Adelaide, and Oakley Faye; that last one actually does really work well! I think Oakley could be nice if I leaned into the whole Wild Bill Hickok thing, because it does have some twang. Maybe Oaklynn too? Let's try:
