Atlas Arcanum is the kind of thing a miserable-on-purpose emo brat would use as a screen name circa 1999.

There is nothing about a riot anyone would like to be named for. Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!

Riot's so dumb, but I think it gained popularity because it sounds like Wyatt, Ryan, Riley, Rhett and has a vibe like Rebel and Rowdy. And there was a 2005 Three Days Grace song called Riot in which "let's start a riot" repeats over and over - not a good namesake but catchy - it started appearing on the SSA data in 2007, so that'd fit as the inspiration. I think Halo is another one that maybe originally gained use because of repetition in a song (the Beyonce one), along with sounding like Hailey, Harlow, etc, but at least that's a sweet association.
