On this site, I wonder why are Japanese names containing the sound "ai" pronounced "Ah-ee" and not "IE". For example: The pronunciation spelling key of Aiko is "Ah-ee-ko" instead of "IE-ko" ("eye co"). You don't pronounce Kyle as "Kah-ill", Riley as "Rah-ee-lee", Tyler as "Tah-ee-lə(r)", and so on. Please share your thoughts!
