[Opinions] Re: Would You Continue The Theme?

French names for girls are easier than for boys. Louis can be Loois or Looee, but Louise is Louise is Louise. However, if the parents aren't French, then the child's name need not be and, for convenience, should not be French either.
I'd avoid playing the Similar-Meaning game, in fact, I'd actively oppose it. If I married a man with a name similar in meaning to my own, then that would be simply a coincidence, not something to found a dynasty on. What would Baby Aylin do when she had a baby - Comet? Jupiter? It's ridiculous.
Same initials can become silly. I knew a family with a tradition of A- names. This resulted in mother Annette (she married a John) having Antony and Amanda, known however as Mandy, and then rebelling and having Richard. But, he was followed by Andrew, I think, or perhaps it was the other way round; after a while, heads spin. Same family: mother Antoinette had daughters Alexandra and Abigail, and then son Bryn. So many cousins with the same names - no thanks.
