LOL, funny you mention a pet bird for Kessie, because the only instance I can find of its usage is in an episode of The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Rabbit adopts a baby blue bird and raises her himself, naming her Kessie. It's a beautiful episode that I've remembered since childhood, so the name Kessie creates a fond warmth in me.

THAT's where I knew that name from! I couldn't remember what the show was but that's literally what I was thinking of with pet bird.
