Jannik and Chae-Won are one year away from moving to Denmark, they are looking for a home in the broader Copenhagen area and trying to tie all the loose ends in Korea before their big move. Ji-su and Riley have settled down in Los Angeles after Ji-su has been drafted by the Dodgers. He is proving to be a valuable player for them, while Riley decided to go for her masters in psychology at UCLA. They welcomed a son sixteen months ago and plan to marry in the autumn in Sonoma. Axel finished his studies in engineering and moved to Rotterdam in Netherlands after he received an offer for his first job in the shipyards. He is single by choice while he is building his career. Iseul now holds the Korean U18 and U21 record at 800 m and is fully moving into the senior category, while she still trains in Korea, she spends lot of time on the road in Europe and USA attending various athletic meetings there. She is also working on her bachelor degree in sport management at University of Busan. With her busy schedule she barely has time to breath freely and Jannik and Chae-Won do worry about their youngest a lot, but she seems happy with her life and where it has led her so far. Freja and Julian have been busy managing their growing language school and their four-year-old. Mia in many aspects resembles her aunt Iseul at four and certainly matches her energy, she can barely wait until she will become big sister and counts the days until her little sister will be born.

At this time Francis and Maryam lead very separate lives, Francis spends majority of his time away from home traveling to remote places in mainly Scotland where he also purchased a small estate just a few miles north of Inverness. This has led to Maryam becoming a single parent per-se and while her daughters are already more or less grown up, the father’s absence has been pretty hard especially for Wolfie. Vivenne’s husband Barnaby has become in many ways a fatherly figure in Wolfie’s life and Wolfie is especially close to his older nephew Ivo. Thalassa and João’s relationship fell apart some three years ago, it wasn’t like anything major happened they just found out their lives and life goals were heading in different directions, while Thalassa wanted to continue competing in show jumping, João was ready to settle down. It was only after the break up when Thalassa found out she was pregnant with their son, and while they are no longer in romantic relationship they co-parent very well and are both committed to raising their son together. Vittoria now works at Milano Malpensa airport as air traffic controller while Nereo works for his uncle’s company as accountant. The two of them were married a year ago at Lake Como and are expecting a daughter in four months. Francesco is working in a Michelin restaurant and still boarding his cooking skills, he has recently returned from a three-month long apprenticeship in Paris where he studied French cuisine. Edo is studying palaeontology just as he wished for all those years, as a part of his studies he spent a semester located in Drumheller, Canada working on dinosaur excavations, that is also where he met his girlfriend a fellow palaeontology student. They have been in a long-distance relationship for nearly a year now. At seventeen Raffaella has published her first novel, it still feels surreal to her. She plans to head to university to study history, but writing has become a big part of her everyday life. Lorenzo and his partner finished seventh in ice dance at Junior Wolds Figure Skating Championships representing Italy which gave big boost to their confidence and their goal for the next season is a medal. Silvia has moved from cross stitching to sewing and just as her mom enjoys designing clothes, she wants to become a fashion designer and the pieces she has sewn for herself and Raffaella have received many compliments.
