[Facts] Re: What given name does patronymic Yuzkivna (uk: Юзьківна) come from
in reply to a message by Anya Mel’nik or Mel’nyk
Probably a short form such as Yuzko (Юзько) of Yuzef, a variant of Yosip (Йосип).

Yuzef is only in Lviv. I think it is Józef written as Ukrainian because of this (ó is pronounced like u).
Jóźko is diminutive written as Юзько in Ukrainian. So I would assume it is from Jóźko.
Patronymic are not usually from diminutive, is it safe to say for this that it is?

I also thought it was unusual, but it seems to be the only origin that fits. But Yuzko also appears on the site as a proper name: https://ridni.org/forename/%D0%AE%D0%B7%D1%8C%D0%BA%D0%BE
