I LOVE it!! Who cares if it means "bailiff"...it could be MUCH worse!! Not to mention that many people (save for most of the ones on this site, from what I can tell) don't even know what their name means!
I'd use it as a girl's name, although I don't mind it for a boy either. To me it's a 'friendly' kind of name...like Daisy or Amy for a girl, or like Riley or Cody for a boy (just examples).
I prefer to spell it Bailey, even though it's the most common (at least where I come from). Other spellings? There are many possibilities: Bayley, Bailie, Baylee, Baly, Baely, Bayleigh, Bayli, etc. Why is it that it's typically girls names that have so many more spellings and variants?
Most importantly, what do YOU think of the name Bailey?!
