Faeyra Adralei Sariel Dawnspell Selevar is an elf who was raised in an industrial city in the snowy Winterbell Mountains of Hanali. She began training in martial arts at a young age, as it is customary for young elves to learn to fight in some manner. During adolescence she also discovered that she has a talent for manipulating shadow. Faeyra attended a pre-professional martial artist training academy, where she met a swordswoman-in-training named Jelenneth and fell in love. However, Faeyra and Jelenneth's love was ill-fated; Jelenneth, daughter of an elvin Elite, was already betrothed to marry the son of a potential political ally of her father. Rather than marry a man she didn't love and be torn from Faeyra forever, Jelenneth fled Hanali on the eve of her wedding, leaving Faeyra with a detailed plan to follow her and rendezvous in a nearby kingdom. But when Faeyra arrived Jelenneth was not there. Nor did she seem to be anywhere nearby when Faeyra asked around. Determined to find her way back to her love, Faeyra has been searching the kingdoms ever since, attempting to find some trace of what happened to Jelenneth and hopefully reunite. She uses her shadow skills for stealth and subterfuge in her missions, and picks up mercenary work to keep food on her plate and clothes on her back.
