I love Jean and dislike Ivy: because Ivy is a plant name, I'd expect it to be followed by something like Roots, Leaves, Tendrils ... if I wanted to give Jean a hyphenated neighbour, I think Mary-Jean would work better than Ivy-Jean. Close in length and -y ending, and probably also in popularity, probably faded from general use at about the same time.
