I like Yvonne. It's a bit sultry and feels very much like an adult name. I suppose a child could go by Yve, Yvie, Yves, or Yva - quite nice too!Yvonne Louise

I like it better than Yvette. I wouldn't name a daughter this but I don't hate the name.
Yvonne is underappreciated, in my book. I prefer it to Yvette, which has historically been more common (though not so much as to be tired). The trick is finding a good middle name for it:Yvonne Olivia
Yvonne Emmelise
Yvonne Ingrid
Yvonne Isobel
Yvonne Catherina
Yvonne Eleanor
Yvonne Eloise
Yvonne Sydney
Yvonne Sidonie
Yvonne Rochelle
Yvonne Gabrielle
Yvonne Genevieve
Yvonne Rebecca
I like Yvonne a lot. It's slinky and sultry in a down to earth midcentury way. Yvonne Lila

I have a distant cousin named Yvonne Lynette. I would have preferred Yvonne Louise, but I don't like Yvonne much; prefer Yvette.

It wasn't until I came to BtN to realize how this name is apparently supposed to be pronounced. Every time I encountered it in the real world, it seemed that people pronounced it something like "ya-VON". And I liked that pronunciation.I don't care much for the apparently proper pronunciations.
I've known two people with the middle name Yvonne. One pronounced it Yee-Von, and the other EE-Von
I like Yvonne but I much prefer Yvette.I'm no good at middle names...

Probably not something that starts with a vowel or ends with an N sound.
