[Facts] Pronunciation request
I have a Welsh Terrier pup (a girl!) arriving in a week. I have named her Terrwyn (which I understand to be a Welsh female name meaning "brave"). Question - is the "w" silent or pronounced.Thank you!

The 'w' is pronounced. Basically it's terr-win.

"W" in Welsh is actually a letter of the alphabet, so it is always pronounced. You don't need the double r, because the "r" is always rolled, but it looks pretty in this case. "Terr:win" By the way, it's a boy's name, but does it matter?

It's pronounced - it's a kind of "thick" o sound. (I don't speak Welsh, so I hope someone can explain better!)Short and sweet like Swedish summer....

Do I have any other comments on the pronunciation of Terrwyn?
