What do you think of the name Eloisa, possible nn Ellie??? We are looking for an Italian name and would like to honor my father-in-law Louise. Are there any other spellings that you have seen?

Bellissima (sp?). You've found the perfect Italian name to honor your father-in-law. Ellie is an adorable nn.

Of course, there's always Ludovica (Ludwig and Louis are variants of each other). . . .

Your father-in-law is named Louise? That's interesting.

I'd prefer just Eloise or Louisa. Eloisa is all right, though.

Im not a huge fan of Eloisa, although I know you are trying to honor a relative. I love Ellie, though. My neighbors full name is Ellie.

Hmm, its seems a tad too busy for me. I'd prefer either Eloise or Louisa / Louise. However, since its honours your father-in-law I do like it more and the nn Ellie is very nice!
