ETA: Dangit, can't read. I thought you said Mamie, not Marnie--they look suspiciously similar, you see! I don't like Marnie much at all, personally. Perhaps Magnolia? Hmm...let me think about this.

Mamie is cute, but it would remind me too much of Marmie from Little Woman - I'd feel like I was calling my daughter my mother all the time :-)

Thanks for the suggestion - I guess if I ever end up naming my daugther Margot, after my mother (Margaret), I'll feel justified calling her Marnie now!
