Apart from whether you like it or not - do you think Caritas is too weird a name for a girl/woman? Too closely associated with the Catholic aid organisation?

I didn't know about the aid organisation, so I didn't make the connection. If it's generally well known, though, I'd go with Carita, which is very pretty.

I thought of the demon karioke bar in "Angel". It's pretty, but I wouldn't actually use it on a child.

I know a girl named Carita, and that's nice. Caritas is odd.

The first thing I thought of was the organisation. It is like calling your kid Unicef or something. Terrible for a name IMO.

well, yes. at least here in Germany I would never use this name.
That was the first thing I thought... Kinda like "Redcross Johnson" :)
