[Opinions] Zinnia
What do you think of Zinnia? Any combos come to mind (with Zinnia in either position)? What do you think of "Zinny" as a nickname (only on a little kid, I think)?-- Sarah

I've recently started realizing how much I LOVE this name. :) I love a lot of flower names, but as it was mentioned below, so many have become boring and overused so it's nice to see a very pretty "fresh" one. :b

I think Zinnia is a nice name and I'm surprised I don't like it more. I seem to like a lot of floral names, especially ones that are under-utilized. Z names are relatively uncommon and I think that adds a bit of spunk to the name. I think that contrasts in a good way with the soft floweryness of the name. I'm not crazy about Zinny but I think it makes perfect sense as a nn for a little Zinnia.

I never thought of Zinnia as a name before, but it's a special flower to me, so I'm a wee bit feeling stupid. It is beautiful, of course.Another special flower to me is Phlox, but it's a bit too odd for a name, lol.Zinny is also adorable. :)Zinnia as fn combos:Zinnia Winter

I absolutely love it. Love it.I used to have a cat named Zinnia. She went nameless for two weeks and finally I sat down with a gardening book I happened to have from the library and decided I'd find a name in that book. Flipped through alphabetically and didn't decide until the letter Z. Zinnia? Yeah, Zinnia will work! And it did, I thought it was a great name. I did call her Zinny sometimes. It's a pretty natural nn.And yes, that was for a cat but I still think it would be a fantastic name for a human. The letter Z is so spunky. Flower names are so in style right now, and in my humble opinion, Zinnia is FAR more interesting than Rose or Lily or Violet. It's honestly a name I can't believe more people don't like. I think it's terribly overlooked.
