[Opinions] Libby WDYT
I didn't use to like this name, but it has been growing on me. Do you think that it's better as a name or as a nn for Elizabeth? Do you have any suggestions for MNs for it? Do you like Libby Celine?

I love Libby, as a nn for Liberty ;) Liberty Celine would sound great, IMO.

One of my old teacher's nickname was Libby and it was short for Olivia.

My black lab is named Libby. I think it's a cute nn for Elisabeth. I also like Lissy as a nn for Elisabeth.

Seems incomplete. And Elizabbeth is so overdone, I'd prefer not to see that name for another generation. Celine is nice though.

I prefer Libby over Lizzy, definitely. However, Libby as a nn for Liberty is better, in my opinion, than Libby as a nn for Elizabeth.

I adore Libby/Libbie as a nn for Elizabeth. I have a weakness for old fashioned, lady-like nns one doesn't hear much nowadays.Libby Celine doesn't do much for me.

To me, Libby sounds too much like a nickname. I think it would be better if you used Elizabeth as a first name and just used Libby as a nickname.Elizabeth Celine sounds pretty imo. I also think that Elisabeth looks much better than Elizabeth, since Elisabeth has a much softer feel to it, and goes much better with the softer name of Celine.

I like it a lot, but only as a nickname for Elizabeth. It's too insubstantial to stand on its own.Elizabeth Celine "Libby" is gorgeous!

Libby's a name I briefly considered for my youngest dd but only as a nick for Elizabeth. It's just too precious as a formal name, if you know what I mean.As for Libby Celine, I'd much prefer Elizabeth Celine or better still, Elisabeth Celine (love the whole French thing there).

Libby is too nicknamey for my tastes

I like it, but only as a nickname for Elizabeth. I actually have a friend who goes by Libby - and there's a funny story behind why she does, too. Back when she was in preschool, all the kids called her Lizzie. However, she misheard and was CONVINCED they were saying Libby. It stuck, haha. :)Libby Celine is pretty. Some other middle names:Libby June
