[Opinions] Cody
Today at my softball game, there was a girl on the other team named Cody. I thought it was strange on a girl; however, I've always loved it on a boy. Wdyt?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I hate it on either gender. Trendy-1990s, outdated and "cutesy".

I'm not a huge fan of Cody for either sex, but I went to school with a girl named Koti.

I know a little girl named Cody. I like the name more on a girl than on a boy.

I don't like it on either. There is a dog in my neighborhood named Cody and one in my mother's neighborhood as well. So I think of it as a dog's name!

AgreedI had a dog named Cody (Siberian Husky) and my cousin named her Husky Cody. Then there is Kathy Lee Griffin's little boy....... needless to say, Cody is out for me, for a boy and definitely for a girl.

Sorry to be harsh, but this is one of those names that I can't stand. It's terrible on a boy...too preppy and fem. And honestly as much as I don't like it on a guy, I find it even worse on a girl.

At this point I don't like Cody on a girl, because I've only met male Codys, but I could see it growing on me if it becomes more popular (real trend setter, I am!).As for Cody on a guy - I love it! Part of the reason could be because I know a very gentlemanly, fun guy with that name, but hey, association plays a big part in what names we like and what names we don't.

Terrible for a girl 100% and it's pretty bad on a boy as well. Def not a name that would work well after, say, 5.Baby Girl

It's not too unusual for me at least, espcially as a nick name to Dakota. I guess Lakota too, but Cody doesn't work on me. L'Eau Qui Pleure

Like it on a guy, but would never use it. On a girl it seems sorta strange but kinda cool at the same time.

My brothers name is Kodie Caleb Emerson Baker. I think it is an adorable name, not too keen on it for a girl, but he would have been called Cohdee Jaya (weird spelling) if he was a girl.
